How To Make A Rag Wreath!

I love the Simplicity if this project, how inexpensive it is and you can make it in an afternoon.
Here are the supplies you'll need:
Wire wreath form
Fabric 2-3yards (I used a 9x12 drop cloth)
Scissors
That's it, this is a great project for a budget.
You can order both of these items on Amazon.
Alright here we go!
First things first, we need to get our fabric ready by creating strips.
I will make a starting cut that is about 1.5" wide. Once you got your cut made rip the fabric apart by pulling both ends like this. You could cut out your strips, however you'll quickly tire out your hands from using the scissors so much.
Once you've ripped your strip we'll cut them into about 8" sections.
Now repeat this step until you have a good pile of strips. You likely need more than you think, but that's okay you can make more as you go.
Next you want to start by knotting your strips of fabric on each section of the wires. Keep repeating, until you've nicely filled out your wreath form.
Here I am about a third of the way done. Yes, it might seem like it'll never end, but I promise you'll get there and it will be worth it. Put on so music and grab your favorite drink. 😜
All done and I love it! I'm currently hanging mine off my shelf but you can hang yours on any door in your home or lay flat on a table as a centerpiece.
One thing to keep in mind, you can use any fabric you love. I happened to have some left over drop cloth from another project, so I choose to use this. The possibilities are endless.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog posts, it means the world to me! 👀
I'm trying to release at least two blog posts a week to keep us all entertained during our Covid-19 quarantine. Let me know how your wreath comes out, I'd love to see it when your done.
Lots of love,
Leigh ❤
